Flying Lotus

This is a little doodle of Los Angeles based ambient/hip hop DJ Flying Lotus, a quick little piece and my final homework assignment of the semester.  Summer, here I come!

Arve Henriksen of Supersilent

This is a drawing of the Norwegian trumpeter Arve Henriksen, most famous for being part of the free-improv group Supersilent (another one of my favorite bands).  This one was really fun to do; trying to keep in the spirit of the music I chose to keep everything pretty loose and improvisational, mixing acrylic, powdered graphite, pencil and digital collage.

Toby and Mia of Kayo Dot

for my illustration concepts II final I am doing some editorial portraits of a few of my favorite musicians - here are Toby Driver and Mia Matsumiya of Kayo Dot, a band I profoundly adore.
