Here are some process images from "OOF"
Someday I'll have a big process post where I explain my methods more thoroughly, but for now I think these images are self-explanatory.
I'd also like to announce that I have made an InPRNT store - I currently have two prints available, with more coming soon.

Awesome! Though it seems to me that you almost could have painted the guy and the cacti together on one sheet. Did you have a particular reason for separating them?
Painting them separately allows me to make more specific adjustments (changing the color of JUST the cacti, for instance, or changing size/placement) - I also repainted that figure a couple times, so it was easier to work in separate components and combine them later.
